The
Northwest Railway Museum includes many facets. The Library
and Archives includes historic views of railways and the people
who worked on them, plus thousands of books and other documents
relating to the history of railroads in the Northwest. The Large
Artifact Collection includes examples of steam and diesel
locomotives, passenger cars, freight cars, and maintenance equipment
that helped transform the way we live in the Pacific
Northwest. The Project Archive documents some of the most
complicated and costly collection care projects the Museum has
completed including bridge restoration, crossing construction and
even bridge replacement. And finally, Related
Links provides a direct route to other web sites that address
similar or complementary topics to those covered here including
other historical societies, railway groups and the successors to the
constituent railroads who history is documented at the Northwest
Railway Museum. |
