When will Thomas The Tank Engine be visiting?
For six days this summer July 11-13 & 18-20, a Day Out With Thomas will be at the Northwest Railway Museum.

How much do tickets cost?
$14 for each participant aged 1 year and older. (Children under 1 year old are welcome. They'll need to ride the train in an adult's lap.)

When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets go on sale to the public April 21st, 2003 on the TicketWeb website. For those who do not have web access, tickets will go on sale by phone on April 21st at 1-866-468-7630.

Can I ride a train?
Yes! Trains will depart every 45 minutes during the event, so each guest will have the opportunity to take a ride with Thomas. All train rides are by reservation only (your train ride time is reserved when you purchase tickets).

What is the Day Out With Thomas Schedule?
July 11-13 & 18-20 with departures at:
 9:00 a.m.  12:45 p.m.  4:30 p.m.
 9:45 a.m.    1:30 p.m.
10:30 a.m.   2:15 p.m.
11:15 a.m.   3:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m.   3:45 p.m.

What other activities will there be?
A variety of activities will take place during this event. These will include live musical entertainment, temporary tattoos, clowns, Thomas & Friends storytelling, Thomas & Friends videos, a locomotive cab tour and more! You can meet Sir Topham Hatt. (Bring your camera.) You will also be able to watch Thomas the Tank Engine chug the train in and out of the depot each trip.

How do I purchase Tickets?
Beginning April 21st, 2003, you can order Day Out With Thomas tickets on the TicketWeb website.

What if I don't have web access?
You can order tickets beginning April 21st, 2003 by calling 1-866-468-7630 during the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday - Friday or 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday or 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

How much are tickets?
Day Out With Thomas tickets are $14 (children under 1 year are free, provided they do not occupy a seat on the train). When purchasing tickets, you will be asked to select a specific time for your train ride, during one of the six days of this event. Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable. 

What does the ticket include?
Tickets include admission to the event, featuring children's activities including live musical entertainment, temporary tattoos, clowns, Thomas & Friends storytelling, Thomas & Friends videos, a tour of a locomotive cab, a visit with Sir Topham Hatt, and of course a train ride with Thomas.

Where will we find parking when we attend Day Out With Thomas?
Parking will be provided at several local schools and a free shuttle bus will depart every 15 minutes to the event location.

Will there be an event guide?
Yes, a downloadable event guide will be available on the Northwest Railway Museum web site beginning July 1, 2003.  It will include details about activities, directions to the parking lots, and food vendor menus.

Will food be available?
Yes. Food will be available for purchase at the event. There are also fun places to eat within easy walking distance in the town of Snoqualmie.

May I leave the Snoqualmie Depot grounds and come back?
You may come and go freely during the day specified on your ticket. However, your ticket will not admit you to the grounds any of the other 5 days of the event.

May I visit the Northwest Railway Museum or ride the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad without purchasing a Day Out With Thomas ticket?
Not during the 6 days of the event. Please come ride the train any other weekend April through October.

Will Thomas & Friends merchandise be available for purchase?
Yes. There will be a large selection of items.

May I purchase Thomas & Friends merchandise without purchasing a Day Out With Thomas ticket?
Not during the 6 days of the event. However, the Depot Bookstore sells some Thomas & Friends items year-round.

Is there a Museum Member discount?
Not for this event. However, as a special benefit, members will have a limited time pre-purchase opportunity. All members will receive an order form in late March outlining the details.

Is there a group discount?
There are no group rates for Day Out With Thomas. Everyone one year of age and older is required to have a ticket.

What is the refund policy?
If the train runs, there are no refunds. If the Northwest Railway Museum cannot run the train because of circumstances beyond the control of the Northwest Railway Museum such as flood or fire, the full ticket price will be refunded to the original purchaser.

I made a mistake; may I exchange my tickets for a different date or time?
Sorry, but no. Due to the popularity of the event, ticket exchanges are not possible.

What if I miss my train?
Trains will be full, so there won't be room on another train. Please be certain of the date and time of your tickets, and plan to arrive at least one hour early for finding parking, getting in the gates, using the restroom and getting in line. If you miss your train, you may still enjoy the many special Day Out With Thomas activities at the Snoqualmie Depot.

Does my 2-year-old need a ticket?
Yes. Every participant aged 1 year and older requires a ticket.

May I use my Museum Membership ticket vouchers for a Day Out With Thomas?
Sorry, but no. Vouchers are good for regular-fare train excursions only.

Is there assigned seating?
No. If you want to sit with your friends, you all need to get in line together.

May I bring my camera?
Yes, please do! There will be opportunities to photograph Thomas the Tank Engine and Sir Topham Hatt. Please keep in mind that many others will be lining up for photographs, too. So you'll want to have your film loaded and camera ready.

Can I buy a photo of us with Thomas?
Yes, we'll have a professional photographer on hand to take your picture with Thomas.  You'll have an opportunity to purchase a copy of the photo in our Day Out With Thomas retail tent.

How much do photos cost?
Photo packages cost $14 and include your choice of one 8x10, two 5x7 or nine wallet-sized photos. Photos are placed in a special souvenir Day Out With Thomas folder.
