Susan Hankins Memorial
Long time Museum Trustee and President Emeritus Susan Hankins passed away on Valentine’s Day; she was 81 years old. Susan served as a role model for many leaders in our community, offered advice to many challenging situations, helped mediate negotiations between disparate parties, and served as an inspiration to those who knew her well. After a 25 year career at Rocket Research, she dedicated herself to community service. Serving as Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, as a board member at the Mt. Si Senior Center, as a trustee at the Sno-Falls Credit Union and as a trustee for the Northwest Railway Museum. Susan played an instrumental role in helping support Snoqualmie Valley Transportation, a unique and productive partnership between the Mt. Si Senior Center and Snoqualmie Tribe that provides public transportation in the Snoqualmie Valley to people who did not have access.Susan adored her grandchildren and their accomplishments. She is survived by her husband Barry, loving family, and scores of individuals proud to call her their friend. Her family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Museum in Susan's Memory.
