Whistle Stop Birthday Party

Available Saturdays and Sundays 

April - September 2023

Ride a historic train to Snoqualmie Falls and back. Have your party in a real railway car (with access to picnic tables on the depot grounds, too.) Receive an engineer's hat for the birthday child and railway-fun goodie bag for all child-aged partygoers. Birthday parties are offered at the historic Snoqualmie Depot on Saturdays and Sundays and are 2 hours long.Trains depart from Snoqualmie Depot at 11am and 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays. A Whistle Stop Birthday Party Includes:

  • Train tickets for 10 party guests (ages 2 & older) 
  • Reserved seating on the train 
  • Party space in a real train coach car for 75 minutes before train ride 
  • Complimentary engineer's hat for the birthday child 
  • Complimentary Railway Fun goodie bag for up to 10 children

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a party date.Your final payment is due on the day of the party, at or within 30 minutes of your start time.Birthday parties are held rain or shine. There are no refunds. We ask that you provide a minimum of 1 adult for every 3 children under 5 years old.

We will provide the train ride, party train car, engineer’s cap for the birthday child, and goodie bags for the kids. Please be prepared to provide supervision and refreshments to your party guests.The train car in which you will party remains stationary on the Museum grounds. It is equipped with tables and benches and can accommodate about 30 people. There is an additional table that can be used to set out food/gifts, and a Thomas the Tank Engine play table.

The vintage train car used for parties is not ADA accessible. Inquire about alternatives if accessibility is a concern. Train rides are accessible. A member of our staff will notify your party approximately 10 minutes before boarding for your train ride. Your train ride leaves from the Snoqualmie Depot and goes to Snoqualmie Falls & back (approximately 30 minutes).

Check in for your party with our bookstore clerk or ticketing window. A member of our museum staff will accept your payment, give you your train ride tickets, and show you to the train car for your party. *No parties available: Mother's Day Weekend, Father's Day Weekend, Day Out With ThomasTM, Snoqualmie Railroad days, Halloween Train, Santa Train, or during any specially-priced events.

Museum Hours

Snoqualmie Depot Hours: 10am - 5pm, 7 days a week. No admission charge to visit the depot and grounds

Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. There is limited access during Day Out With Thomas and Santa Train events.

Railway History Campus Hours: Wednesdays through Mondays, 11am to 4pm through October. Fridays through Mondays, 11am to 4pm, November through February. Closed Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Weekends Thanksgiving-Christmas, December 17, 2022-January 20, 2023.

Price: No admission charge to visit the Snoqualmie Depot and grounds. Admission $10 per adult (age 13+), $5 per child (2-12) to visit the Train Shed Exhibit Hall
